Tracking Your GM Part Delivery Safely
Whether you ordered a small replacement sensor or a full crate engine, knowing exactly when it will arrive helps you schedule your repair efficiently. Learn how to track your Malouf Parts order securely.
Once your order is processed and packed, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a carrier tracking number (UPS, FedEx, USPS, or Freight). You can click the link in your email to view real-time updates, or log into your Malouf Parts Experts account to view your complete order status history.
Understanding Your Order Statuses
1. Order Received
Your payment has been authorized, and the order has entered our system. Our parts counter is checking inventory.
2. VIN Verification (If Applicable)
A parts specialist is currently matching your requested part numbers against the VIN you provided to ensure 100% fitment accuracy before boxing.
3. Picked & Packed
Your items have been safely boxed, labeled, and are sitting on our loading dock awaiting carrier pickup. A tracking number is generated at this stage.
4. In Transit / Out for Delivery
The carrier has possession of your package. You should refer to the carrier's website using your tracking number for real-time location updates.
Safe Delivery Best Practices
Auto parts are highly targeted for theft, and fragile items like headlamps or modules need care. Follow these rules when receiving an order:
- High-Value Orders: Orders over a certain dollar amount may automatically require an adult signature upon delivery. Monitor your tracking closely so you are home to sign.
- Inspect the Box: Before signing for a freight delivery (engines, body panels), inspect the crate or box for visible impact damage. Note any damage on the driver's manifest.
- Secure Location: If you won't be home, utilize carrier services to route the package to a secure pickup location (like a FedEx Office or UPS Access Point).
What if my tracking hasn't updated?
Don't panic. Sometimes carriers generate a tracking number but fail to scan the package at the first local depot. It may take 24-48 hours for the first scan to appear.
If it has been more than 3 business days since you received a tracking number and there is no movement, contact our support team so we can investigate with the carrier.
