OEM GM Paint
Paint and Touch-Up Paint for Your GM Model
Maintaining the pristine look of your Chevrolet vehicle involves regular care and attention, especially when it comes to the paint. Over time, your car's paint can suffer from minor scratches, chips, and fading. This is where touch-up paint and proper car paint care come into play. Our OEM car paint and touch-up products are designed to match your GM vehicle's original color perfectly, so there's no second-guessing.
Steps to Apply Touch-Up Paint
Preparation
Clean the area thoroughly to remove dirt, grease, and wax. Use a mild detergent and let it dry completely.
Lightly sand the damaged area with fine-grit sandpaper to smooth out any rough edges.
Applying Primer (if needed)
Apply a thin primer layer to the bare metal if the scratch or chip has penetrated through the paint layers. Let it dry completely.
Applying Touch-Up Paint
Shake the touch-up paint container to mix the paint thoroughly.
Use the applicator to apply a small amount of paint to the damaged area. Build up thin layers if needed, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next.
Applying Clear Coat
Once the touch-up paint is dry, apply a clear coat to seal and protect the repair. Allow it to dry completely.
Final Touches
After the clear coat has dried, lightly sand the area with fine-grit sandpaper (if needed) to blend the repaired spot with the surrounding paint.
Polish the area with a suitable automotive polish to restore the gloss and smooth finish.
